One on one music lessons

Mr. Vergara studied at The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in Lebanon under Charbel Rouhana and Ghada Shbeir. In New York he also studied under maestro Simon Shaheen and later Bassam Saba while in tenure as first oud in the New York Arabic Orchestra. On guitar John studied with virtuoso Juan Gomez for flamenco/classical and Spanish guitar. For Puerto Rican cuatro under award winning musician, Alvin Medina apart from growing up in a strong Puerto Rican music environment fostered by his grandfather who sang traditional Jibaro music.

John has performed oud  music extensively around the country, weddings, private and corporate events, and more. John has over 20 years of teaching experience teaching guitar, oud and more. With John you will learn how to hold the instrument, tune, pluck, repertoire, theory, maqam theory, sight reading and more.
